The Memorial Bridge has linked Kittery, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire across the Piscataqua River since 1923. It was closed, first to vehicular traffic and then to pedestrians in 2011 and demolition began in 2012.

The Wood Island Lifesaving Station sits just off Fort Foster. It has fallen into serious disrepair and it’s future is uncertain. A local group has been formed to save this historic building. Check out their website by clicking on the link below.
Brave Boat Harbor Farm sits at the north side of the entrance to Brave Boat Harbor in York, Maine. It is a beautiful estate with a grand stone main house, horse barn & paddock, this stone cabin and gardens with interesting pieces of art sprinkled about them.
With it’s sand and rock beaches, nature trails, old artillery bunkers and towers, Fort Foster is a great place to swim, sun and shoot pictures.
This was among the first HDR stuff I worked on. This was taken just down the street from my house in Admiralty Village in Kittery, Maine.
